Gopal has been investing in India for over 16 years, in both the private and public markets, and is among the pioneers in equity research and investment management in India. Gopal has made 18 private equity investments in India that include CNBC-India (Television Eighteen) and IndiaLife Hewitt. He is a charter member of the Mumbai chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE). Gopal has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.

Ranjit Shah

Ranjit has over 25 years of experience in corporate management and Private Equity. His corporate experience includes senior leadership positions as CEO and CFO in the Telecom, Technology and Export sectors in India. His entrepreneurial experience includes co-founding a finance company providing asset finance for professionals. He has also made VC / PE investments in technology and engineering services. He has an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.

Vikas Arya
Principal

Vikas has over 6 years experience in Private Equity, Equity Research, Corporate Finance and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining Gaja, Vikas worked at the Indian subsidiaries of Standard & Poor’s and General Motors. Vikas also ran his family commodity business for a period of two years. Vikas is a Chartered Accountant and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (including an exchange term at the Texas A&M University)

Praveen Chennareddy
Principal

Praveen has over 7 years of experience in Private Equity and Financial Services. Prior to joining Gaja, Praveen worked on alternative investments for Merrill Lynch in New York, where he focused on fund raising and analysis of private equity opportunities. He also worked as a senior analyst for the Securities and Finance practice of a New York based economics research firm. Praveen has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.

Imran Jafar
Principal

Imran has over 9 years experience in Private Equity, Pharmaceuticals and IT services. Prior to joining Gaja, Imran worked in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in Wipro Technologies and Dr. Reddy's. He has a masters degree in software engineering from BITS-Pilani and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He also spent two terms at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University as part of an exchange program.

Avinash Luthria
Principal

Avinash has over 8 years of experience in Private Equity, Management Consulting, Transition / Project Management in IT/ITeS and in co-founding a Legal Research KPO. Prior to joining Gaja, Avinash worked at Tata Strategic Management Group, MindTree Consulting, Wipro Technologies and MphasiS. He has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (including an exchange term at Schulich School of Business Toronto) and a B.Tech in Computer Science from RVCE Bangalore.
